Mike became part of the Network as an intern while attending Vanderbilt University in 1979, and upon graduation he became a full-time financial representative.

Mike worked his way through management positions to the current managing partner of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network—Raleigh.

Why He Chose Northwestern Mutual
After graduation, he debated leaving when he received other offers. "I was convinced that Northwestern Mutual would give me the independence that I wanted, the income I needed for my family and the ability to help make an impact on people and the community."
